The SPring-8 accelerator complex is comprised of the following four accelerators; a 1-GeV linac, an 8-GeV booster synchrotron, an 8-GeV storage ring and a 1.5-GeV NewSUBARU storage ring. The two storage rings are in the top rank of advanced light sources all over the world with the performance of excellent electron beams. The 8-GeV storage ring is a facility for utilization of brilliant X-rays and NewSUBARU is for short-pulse soft X-rays. |
