Abstract |
CCLRC (Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils) is a research council that runs Daresbury Laboratory in UK. CCLRC and JASRI agreed on a collaboration program three years ago and this will be the third symposium based on the agreement.
Brief profiles of the delegates: Hywel G Price: Director of the Daresbury Laboratory Mike Chesters: Director of the SRS (synchrotron radiation facility at the Daresbury Laboratory). Specialized in Physical Chemistry, especially infrared spectroscopy Gareth Derbyshire: Head of the detector development division in CCLRC. He gave a review lecture on x-ray detectors at SRI2003. Tracy Turner: Head of Physics Division in SRS. Specialized in soft x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. Samar Hasnain: Specialized in Protein crystallography. A leader of North West Structural Genomics Centre Greg Diakun: Head of Materials and Engineering Division in SRS. He used to work with small-angle scattering on proteins in the NCD (Non-Crystalline-Diffraction) group.
