Procedures for Installation of High-Power Laser Equipment

Delivery of Laser Equipment

When High- Power Laser equipment¹⁾ are to be delivered for use in user project, submit a “High-Power Laser Use Authorization Application (for temporary use) ” to the JASRI Safety Office at least two weeks prior to the delivery of the equipment.
1) High- Power laser refers to class4, class3B and class3R laser specified by C-6802 of the JIS standard.

Permanent Installation of Laser Equipment

When High- Power Laser equipment1) are to be installed permanently for use in user project, submit a “High-Power Laser Use Authorization Application (for permanent use)” ,” Manual (free form)”,” Recommendatory letter of High- Power Laser equipment supervisor” to the SPring-8/SACLA Users Office at least two weeks prior to the Installation of the equipment.
“Recommendatory letter of High- Power Laser equipment supervisor” requires a signature of Laboratory Head, place where it is installed, name of the equipment and the name of the administrator.
