The
SPring-8 Users Community (SPRUC) ran a competition to design a logo for
the SPRUC with the deadline of July 20, 2012. The response to the
competition was great, and in total there were 112 entries from 89
participants. Thanks to all who took part. With so many entries, the best designs were shortlisted by the secretaries' meeting and the final decision was made at the councilors' meeting to choose the one that best suited the SPRUC. After the deliberation, we are pleased to announce that the logo designed by Koji Nagata from Osaka has been chosen as the winning entry for our competition. Congratulations also to the runners-up: Yosuke Miyake from Okayama and Takeshi Shioya from Hyogo. This new logo of the SPRUC will be used for the SPRUC Website. Other than that, the logo will come into use from the SPring-8 Symposium 2012 to be held August 25-26, 2012. @ |
