Overview of Research Group, Goals and Purposes:
Technical developments of synchrotron radiation measurements and high-pressure generation enable us not only to enlarge the accessible ranges of pressure and temperature but also to expand the scientific fields for the high pressure users. However, the state-of-the-art information about experimental results and newly developed techniques have not been shared fully with the users, because high pressure experiments are recently performed on a lot of beamlines.
@The purpose of the High Pressure Materials Science Userfs group is to play a key role in (i) sharing the state-of-the-art sience and recent activities with the userfs group members and potential users, (ii) discussing the future prospects of the high pressure science, and (iii) organizing the upgrade plan for the beamlines related to the high pressure science. These activity plans are promoted based on the past our activities. We also collaborate with other SPRUC research groups and academic societies related to high pressure and materials sciences. Particularly, in consideration of the BLs upgrade program for SPring-8II which is currently in planning and the trend of high pressure studies at other synchrotron facilities in the world, our activities in the 7th term focus on making useful suggestions about (ii) and (iii) to the SPring-8 facility.
