Overview of Research Group, Goals and Purposes:

Technical developments of synchrotron radiation measurements and high-pressure generation enable us not only to enlarge realizable ranges of pressure and temperature but also to expand the range of users. However, the state-of-the-art information about experimental results and newly developed techniques has not been shared enough with the users.

The purpose of the High Pressure Material Science User’s group is to play a key role in sharing the state-of-the-art information with the user’s group members, the number of which is expected to increase due to the establishment of SPring-8 Users Community. We will also attempt to explore new research field, to develop synchrotron radiation measurements and high-pressure generation techniques through the activity of the group. The group will function in cooperation with other user’s groups and relevant academic societies.
