研究会の活動目標・目的

　本研究会の目的は、SPring-8の放射光を光源に用いて、単繊維、ガラス片、塗膜片及び不法薬物等の様々な物的証拠に対する新たな検査法を研究・開発し、従来の方法では十分な検査を行うことができなかった極微量の証拠物から捜査に有用な情報を取り出すことを可能にすることによって、科学捜査の発展に貢献することである。

The purpose of this research group is to develop a new method to examine several types of physical evidence, such as  single fiber, glass fragments, paint chips and illicit drug, by using synchrotron radiation from SPring-8 as a light source and to support the progress of forensic science by making it possible to collect useful information for criminal investigation from ultra trace level of evidential material, which could not be sufficiently investigated by conventional methods.
